
ECA has recently integrated BlueView Technologies’ P450E-15 sonar systems as forward-looking obstacle avoidance sonar (OAS) on several AUV systems. These AUVs are designed for a variety of hydrographic and naval missions. ECA software engineers and algorithm developers have utilized BlueView’s Software Development Kit (SDK) to automatically process and interpret the imagery from the forward-looking sonar. The intelligent algorithms they have developed can then cause the vehicle to maneuver away from perceived underwater obstacles./p>
