Lee Thompson, Ph.D., CEO/CTO, and Founder

Lee Thompson co-founded BlueView Technologies in 2003 to deliver ground-breaking underwater visions systems to the maritime community. As BlueView’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer, he sets the business and technical vision for BlueView. He has lead BlueView through its rapid growth since 2005 during which it has delivered over 400 commercial products into a wide range of fielded systems for Navy, Port Security, and Offshore Oil and Gas, and achieved a 95/100 customer satisfaction rating. Dr. Thompson has secured and managed over $15M in R&D and commercial funding and developed technologies leading to multiple product developments in fields of Navy systems, medical ultrasound, consumer products, and marine electronics. He continues to oversee BlueView’s rapid development and transition of 2D and 3D acoustic imaging technology, custom products, and commercial products. BlueView’s unique underwater vision systems deliver significant improvements in size, weight, power, and performance over conventional systems and enable new capabilities that are improving safety, security, efficiency and understanding in many maritime fields.

 

Jason Seawall, COO and Founder

As BlueView's Chief Operating Officer, Jason is responsible for the day-to-day operations of BlueView as well as overseeing the strategic development and execution of the company's corporate and product plans. Jason is committed to ensuring BlueView delivers a consistent, integrated, and responsive customer experience by developing a unified sales, marketing, and product development path within the company. As both founder and part owner, Jason is keen on instituting programs that deliver exceptional customer experiences, while increasing both business and profitability for the company.

Since helping to start the company in 2003, Jason has held several roles, including leadership positions in the areas of engineering, marketing, customer service, and sales, as well as the development of a new strategic business unit focused on the oil and gas industry.

Jason earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech, and his Master’s of Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus in robotic control systems.

 

Scott Bachelor, VP of Corporate Affairs and Founder

As BlueView's Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Scott manages both the company’s corporate activities as well as daily company operations. As a founder, Scott played an instrumental role in building the company's foundation, including technology licensing, intellectual property management, capital fundraising, product development, and corporate development activities. Scott’s ongoing management of BlueView’s corporate affairs, as well as his efforts to ensure the manufacturing, delivery, and support of world class products are key to BlueView’s ongoing success. Scott is a member of BlueView’s Executive Management Group, which reports to CEO Lee Thompson.

Prior to BlueView, Scott spent over 18 years involved in the engineering and project management of advanced electromechanical systems. Scott has applied much of that knowledge, including extensive experience in underwater and avionic systems, to product development at BlueView.

Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.

 

Todd Uffens, Controller

Todd began his work with BlueView in 2005 as a consultant and then in August 2006 serving as Controller. Prior to BlueView he worked at Korry Electronics in Seattle for several years as an analyst in the New Business Opportunities segment. Most of his career has been involved in high-technology manufacturing business.
Todd earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his Master’s of Business Administration from Baylor University.
